Minneapolis police squad car shooter still at large

Minneapolis police say they're still looking for whoever opened fire on two of their officers while they were sitting in their squad car Monday night.

The officers had stopped a suspicious vehicle around 11:30 p.m. near a north side liquor store when someone fired several rounds at them. The officers were not hit, but their vehicle was.

Minneapolis police say the two officers were not in a position to return fire.

Police stopped a vehicle that matched the description of one from the scene. But contrary to some news reports, a police spokesman says no one has been arrested.
