A court hearing over the weekend in Iran is giving the families of the US hikers held there some hope.

Shane Bauer of Minnesota and his friend John Fattal are scheduled for a final hearing Sunday.

That's two years to the day since their arrest. They were detained while hiking along the Iran-Iraq border. Also arrested was Bauer's fiance, Sarah Shourd, who was released in September 2010. The two men continue to be held on charges of espionage.

Cindy Hickey, Bauer's mother, remains hopeful of a resolution this weekend. She speaks from Pine City with MPR about developments in the case.
