40 firefighters battle Uptown blaze
Firefighters rescued three people from a burning home on the 3300 block of Bryant Ave. S. in Minneapolis early Wednesday morning.
Minneapolis fire spokeswoman Cherie Penn said all three were taken to a local hospital. It was unclear whether there was anyone else left inside the structure.
Firefighters responded to the call at about 5:15 a.m. to find it burning on its first and second floor.
The fire spread to a neighboring home as well, and more than 40 firefighters are working on the blaze.
Penn said that the structure where the fire started was collapsing.
