3 held after trying to enter Duluth military base

Authorities have arrested three men after they arrived at Duluth's 148th Fighter Wing to work on a construction project.

The arrests happened Tuesday morning after security forces asked for the men's identification.

Wing Executive Officer Major Audra Flanagan tells the Duluth News Tribune the driver and his two passengers were reluctant to give their IDs. The men ultimately presented identification, but the cards and the men's behavior caused the guard to call 911.

Duluth police arrested a 37-year-old man from Dallas on a felony warrant from a Texas county.

The U.S. Border Patrol took the other two men, both from Honduras, into custody.
