Toyota, Nissan output still slowed from Thailand flood

The supply disruptions from the flooding in Thailand continue to take their toll on Japanese automakers as both Toyota and Nissan foresee production adjustments lasting longer than announced earlier.

Toyota Motor Corp. said Friday that stoppages it had previously projected as lasting through Nov. 5 will continue through Nov. 12, costing Japan's top automaker 69,000 vehicles in lost production in Thailand, and 22,000 vehicles in Japan.

Nissan Motor Co. said supply shortages will mean 40,000 vehicles in lost production in Thailand, but nowhere else.
