More info released in Mississippi River baby case
Authorities are disclosing more information about the discovery of a baby girl's body in the Mississippi River more than two months ago.
They're asking for the public's help in finding a woman who was seen by a witness in a boat in the same area south of Homer where the body was found on Labor Day.
Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand says a white boat - believed to be a Sea Ray with a cabin, or a boat similar to a Sea Ray - was seen before the baby's body was found. A witness says the woman was 30 to 40 years old and appeared to be alone in the boat.
KAGE-AM reports authorities have searched both sides of the river but have found no boats matching that description.
