Man arrested on 36-year-old Wis. warrant for failing to pay child support

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A Fond du Lac County traffic stop has led to the arrest of a 70-year-old man wanted on a 36-year-old warrant.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a trooper stopped a car at about 7:45 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 41 for having a loud exhaust and having no tail lights.

When the trooper did a query of his driver's license, the trooper found that the man had a warrant issued by the Milwaukee County courts for failure to pay child support.

The man, who now lives Jonesboro, Ga., was taken to the Fond Du Lac County jail.
