One year to the day the roof of their domed stadium collapsed during a snowstorm, the Minnesota Vikings are still in rough shape.

They found another way to lose Sunday by turning the ball over six times, falling in Detroit to the Lions 34-28 after reaching the 1-yard line but losing a fumble on the game's final play.

Seven of their 11 defeats this season have come by seven points or less.

The Vikings must win once more to avoid the most losses in the franchise's 51-year history. They host the New Orleans Saints this Sunday and finish the season with games at the Washington Redskins and against the Chicago Bears. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
