One of Iowa's most influential conservative voices is U.S. Congressman Steve King. Some call him a kingmaker because his endorsements can lift or sink a candidate.
He represents the state's fifth congressional district, which stretches down the western half of Iowa. It's the most conservative part of the state. And for the Republican candidates, Congressman King's endorsement has been highly coveted.
