St. Louis County woman found dead in burning home
NORTHLAND TOWNSHIP, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities in St. Louis County say firefighters responding to a house fire in Northland Township found the resident dead inside.
The sheriff's office says the fire was reported Friday just before 6 p.m. Deputies say 77-year-old Florence Loraas was the only person in her Canyon home at the time.
A Mesabi Daily News report says foul play is not suspected. The medical examiner's office is investigating the cause of death.
The cause of the fire is also under investigation.
