Sanford Health opening Fargo women's unit

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Sanford Health is opening its new women's unit at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

The unit adds 12 beds and 28 staff members. Spokeswoman Andrea Voorhees says it will be for patients going through such things as breast surgeries and postpartum care. It will have hotel-like amenities, spa bathrooms and larger rooms for families.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and public open house were being held Tuesday.

Sanford is based in Fargo and in Sioux Falls, S.D.
