Teen fatally stabbed at Montevideo restaurant

MONTEVIDEO, Minn. (AP) -- An 18-year-old woman is dead after being stabbed more than 30 times at a Montevideo pizza restaurant.

KARE-TV reports police have arrested a 24-year-old co-worker who allegedly followed her to the parking lot of the Pizza Ranch at about 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Police responded to the scene and found Vinessa Lozano of Montevideo on the ground and a man standing over her holding a knife. She died at a local hospital.

The suspect is in the Yellow Medicine County jail awaiting charges.

Montevideo police say the suspect had no prior convictions.
