Search is on for 2 snowmobilers in Wright County

BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) -- The search continues for two snowmobilers who may have fallen through the ice on Lake Charlotte in Wright County.

Authorities got a call late Saturday from witnesses who said the snowmobilers went through the ice.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty tells WCCO radio that gloves, boots and a hat were found floating in open water. Hagerty says authorities have been checking with friends and calling cell phones, but at this point, it doesn't look like the men made it out of the lake.

Divers are prepared to go into the water Sunday to search for any sign of the drivers.

One man who went out to look for the snowmobilers also fell through the ice late Saturday. Officials say that man was pulled to safety.
