State lawmakers and Gov. Mark Dayton are taking a fresh look at electronic pulltabs to fund a new Minnesota Vikings stadium.
Minnesota's revenue commissioner says new research shows that electronic pulltabs could generate $72 million a year for a stadium. That's at least $30 million more than projections made last fall. Stadium supporters say electronic pulltabs in restaurants and bars would attract more users than paper versions.
MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with economics professor Bill Eadington about the appeal of electronic pulltabs. He directs the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming at the University of Nevada Reno.
