Fog is lifting at Fargo's Hector International

Dense fog appears to be lifting in Fargo, allowing an inbound plane from Chicago to land after hours of inactivity at the airport.

The executive director of Fargo's Hector International Airports tells KFGO radio that planes weren't able to take off or land since Thursday evening.

Shawn Dobberstein says the problem was aggravated by a large winter storm moving through the middle of the country.

KFGO reports that by early afternoon Friday, visibility was improving and the incoming Chicago flight had landed.

Passengers with scheduled flights are still being urged to call ahead or check airlines' websites.
