Fridley pair charged with luring girl into prostitution

Ramsey County authorities have charged a man from Fridley and his St. Paul girlfriend with luring an Iowa girl into prostitution.

Charges against Tyree Jones and Bionca Mixon say Jones lured the girl from Des Moines over the internet, then kept her against her will and forced her into prostitution. Investigators found that the girl also had Asperger's syndrome and was developmentally disabled.

Court documents say that the pair took the girl to a restaurant to celebrate her 18th birthday, knowing she'd been a minor when they sent her bus fare for the trip from Iowa to Minneapolis last month.

The girl told investigators that the pair threatened to abandoned her if she didn't cooperate. She eventually called police from a downtown St. Paul hotel.

The pair faces three felony prostitution-related counts, including a child sex-trafficking charge.
