Body recovered under St. Paul bridge

Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found wedged along a railroad bridge over the Mississippi River in St. Paul.

The St. Paul Police Department says the body was found about 1 p.m. Saturday along a Union Pacific bridge in the area of Joy and Water streets.

Police are working with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office to identify the man. They have not said how long the body may have been in the river.
