No charges in N. Mpls. killing

Hennepin County authorities have decided not to charge a man arrested in last week's killing of Jody Patzner Jr. in north Minneapolis.

Hennepin County Attorney spokesperson Chuck Laszewski said there was not enough evidence to support criminal charges.

The 24-year-old man lived only a block from the scene of the crime. He will be released from jail Monday.

Patzner was shot and killed on April 9 while riding his bicycle on the 3500 block of Fremont Avenue North.
