Job seeker markets himself on a billboard

With so many people looking for work, a Rosemount man thinks he's come up with a way to set himself apart from the competition.

Bennett Olson says he has sent out resume after resume, but has had no luck since losing his job at Treasure Island Resort in March. So Olson decided to put his face on a billboard near downtown Minneapolis with the giant letters "Hire Me!" and his web address. For $300, Olson got a rotating spot on the Interstate 35 billboard for 24 hours.

The 22-year-old tells KARE-TV he's gotten some leads, but no job yet as he works to earn a business degree. Olson says his billboard is a real life lesson in strong marketing.
