A Hennepin County jury broke off deliberations Wednesday night in the vehicular homicide trial of Amy Senser without reaching a verdict.

The jury is being sequestered at a hotel. They will resume deliberations Thursday morning.

Senser is accused of leaving the scene after hitting a stalled motorist with her SUV last summer. Anousone Phanthavong, 38, of Roseville was killed.

During the trial, Senser testified she did not know she hit a person, and instead assumed a construction cone caused the jolt she felt while exiting I-94 onto Riverside Ave. in Minneapolis.
