Two die in St. Anthony shooting

A triple shooting has apparently left a couple dead in St. Anthony.

Authorities say a 52-year-old man arrived at a home on 39th Avenue and MacAlester Drive with a gun Tuesday evening. Police says he shot and killed a 46-year-old woman there, and shot a 25-year-old man also at the home.

Police Chief John Ohl said that, after shooting the other two, the man shot and killed himself.

Ohl said the incident appeared to be one of domestic violence involving a husband and wife, and that all of the people involved appeared to be related and may have lived at the home where the incident occurred.

The second shooting victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where his wounds were not thought to be life threatening.

"We have many people that we're talking to right now, and have a very, very good handle on who did what and how the chain of events occurred," Ohl said, adding that it was the first homicide in the city in three years.
