Canadian body parts suspect in custody

BERLIN (AP) -- Berlin police say the Canadian porn actor suspected of murdering and dismembering a Chinese student in Montreal has been ordered kept in custody by a judge, and has said he won't fight extradition.

Police spokesman Thomas Neuendorf said Luka Magnotta, 29, appeared before a judge Tuesday afternoon. He was transferred to a Berlin prison from a police detention center after he was ordered held pending extradition.

Neuendorf says "according to his statements to prosecutors he will not fight his extradition."

Magnotta was arrested Monday at an internet cafe in a working-class district of the German capital after an employee recognized him from a newspaper photo and flagged down a passing police vehicle.
