SUV crashes into Blaine house, driver dies
BLAINE, Minn. (AP) -- The driver of an SUV was killed early Friday after crashing his vehicle into a house in Blaine.
Police say they got a call shortly before 3 a.m. about a suspicious vehicle. When officers encountered the SUV, the driver took off. By the time police caught up the driver had already crashed into the house. Authorities say the 31-year-old driver died at the scene.
KARE-TV reports two people in the home escaped through a window and were not hurt. Police say the SUV struck a gas main causing a leak that was quickly contained.
