Dead NY yacht victims all children

By FRANK ELTMAN, Associated Press

OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (AP) -- A spokesman for the children who were killed when a yacht full of fireworks watchers capsized on the Fourth of July off New York says it is a family tragedy.

Mike Treanor said he had no other comment before he closed the door of the home. At least two of the children were related.

The bodies of 12-year-old David Aurelino, and two girls, 11-year-old Harley Treanor and 8-year-old Victoria Gaines, were recovered from the boat's cabin after a long overnight search in the waters near Oyster Bay, off Long Island. The remaining 24 people onboard were a mix of adults and children.

It's not clear what caused the accident.
