July was a very hot month, the 10th straight month that the average temperature in Minnesota was above normal. Is this a preview of the type of weather that will be normal in the future?

There is a lot of evidence that the earth is warming. As we feel the consequences of the changing climate, more people are wondering if the warming trend can be reversed.

Peter Snyder thinks about these things. He's a climate scientist at the University of Minnesota. He talked about his research with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer.
