2 squad cars torched in Long Lake

LONG LAKE, Minn. (AP) -- Two police squad cars have been destroyed by fire in Hennepin County. And, it's not the first time the police department has been the victim of apparent arson.

Sheriff's officials say officers reporting for duty in Long Lake about 3 a.m. Friday found two squads had been set on fire and destroyed.

The Long Lake Police Department was also hit back in June when someone threw a large carp in a squad and set it on fire.

WCCO-TV says no one has been hurt as a result of the fires.
