A Super Bowl in Minneapolis? Not yet, Goodell says
The NFL's commissioner says its too early to tell when a new stadium in the works for the Minnesota Vikings will host a Super Bowl.
Roger Goodell went to the Vikings game to watch the team beat the Tennessee Titans on Sunday 30-7 victory.

Goodell said that the League knows the Vikings ownership wants to host the championship game, and expects they'll be contenders near the end of the decade.

"I understand they've indicated an interest in maybe doing it around '18 or '19. So they'll get in the rotation," he said. "We still have a couple years before we even get to considering that. So it'll be down the road, which is probably good because I think you probably want to wait and get the stadium up and running."
Work on a new billion-dollar Vikings stadium is expected to begin next year, and be complete in 2016. Goodell said the league will be talking about help financing the deal this winter. The NFL has a loan program expected to put as much as $200 million towards the new stadium.
Goodell also said that he plans to meet with the Minnesota Business Partnership Monday morning.
