Man gets 4 years in thefts from Wis. cabins

WASHBURN, Wis. (AP) -- A man convicted of helping to burglarize dozens of summer homes and cabins in northern Wisconsin has been sentenced to four years in prison.

An Ashland Daily Press report published Friday says 30-year-old Eugene John Grahn has been found guilty of being party to the crime of burglary.

Grahn and a co-conspirator were accused of breaking into at least 24 homes in the winter and spring of 2012. The co-conspirator was convicted earlier this year.

Prosecutor Craig Haukaas says he was satisfied with the sentence. He says Grahn cooperated with authorities, and helped them recover many of the stolen items.

Online court records did not list a defense attorney for Grahn.

Haukaas says people whose items are still missing can follow up with the Bayfield County sheriff's office.
