Driver killed as he attempted to ram St. Paul police carss

St. Paul police have released more details in one of two separate officer-involved shootings.

Police have identified the man killed Tuesday afternoon as Victor Terrance Gaddy, 41.

Police also say officers were trying to stop Gaddy, who was a suspect wanted by Minneapolis undercover narcotics investigators.

Just before 4p, St. Paul officers spotted Gaddy getting into his car in the 300 block of Jessamine Ave. They tried to block him in, but according to a police statement, Gaddy began "to ram the unmarked squad cars." Officers ordered him to stop, but said they felt threatened.

Officers shot Gaddy several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also said four St. Paul police officers involved in the incident were put on three-day administrative leave.

In the other shooting, a St. Paul police officer was hospitalized and a suspect was killed after an apparent exchange of gunfire, also on the east side.
