Mpls. cops seek driver in fatal hit-and-run

The Minneapolis police are looking for help finding a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run accident over the weekend.

The police said they were called to the Warehouse District about 2:40 a.m. Saturday after a hit-and-run crash. They found a 20-year-old man had been gravely injured by a vehicle that left the scene at Third Street North and First Avenue.

The car was going westbound on Third Street when it hit the victim. He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

The police say they have no suspects in custody, but they are looking for a dark colored sedan, possibly a Chevy Lumina, with front end damage. They are asking anyone who might know anything about the crash or the driver to call Minneapolis police.

Crimestoppers has also posted a reward in the case. They're offering up to $1,000 for information that helps solve the case.
