When Republicans in the Minnesota House gather for the legislative session in January they will have a fresh face leading them.
Rep. Kurt Daudt, who has served only one term in the Legislature, was elected House Minority Leader over the weekend. Previously, he was the Assistant Majority Leader, but Republicans lost control of the House as a result of last week's election.
DFLers now control the House, Senate and governor's office for the first time since the late 1980s. Daudt, whose district is mostly in Isanti County, joins MPR's Cathy Wurzer on the phone.
