Counterfeit money operation in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) -- Rochester police say they've uncovered evidence of a counterfeit money operation.

Four people were arrested over the weekend after officers obtained a search warrant for a home. Police say officers had gone to the home to serve a felony warrant and discovered evidence of the money-making operation. Police have not yet provided details on what was seized.

Reports of counterfeit bills have surfaced recently in Rochester, Austin, Albert Lea, Red Wing and Byron.

The Post-Bulletin reports in early September, Wal-Mart in Rochester received $260 in counterfeit $20 bills in one transaction.
