Frazier sticking with Ponder as Vikings QB

Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says he is sticking with Christian Ponder as the team's starting quarterback, even after Ponder's struggles in a loss to Green Bay.

Frazier says he thinks it is important to have an established No. 1 quarterback, and he still believes Ponder is that guy. But Ponder sure didn't look like it in a 23-14 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Ponder completed 12 of 25 passes for 119 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions deep in Packers territory. Despite the poor play, Frazier says he never considered going to backup Joe Webb in the game.

Frazier says he is concerned about sending mixed messages to the rest of his players by continuing to play Ponder. But the coach thinks Ponder will bounce back.
