Many smaller cities in Minnesota have experienced a large influx of Latino immigrants who make up as much as a third of the population in some communities.
But in many of those cities the long-time residents have little interaction with the recent immigrants. This morning we are going to tell you about some new approaches to crossing those cultural divides.
Jennifer Vogel is a reporter with our Ground Level project, which explores community issues across Minnesota. She has been reporting in these cities for a project we're calling "Making Connections" and talks with MPR's Cathy Wurzer about some of her findings.
