Minnesota Democratic Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken and Republican Rep. Erik Paulsen are working to delay or repeal the implementation of the medical device tax that is set to go into effect on January 1.
Critics say the tax will hurt the industry and lead to job losses, while President Barack Obama says the tax will actually grow the industry. The Twin Cities is home to a number of medical device companies. The Daily Circuit will assess what this tax is and its potential impact on the industry.
