Man pleads guilty in Minneapolis homicide
Bryant Deshawn Elliott, 20, of Minneapolis has pleaded guilty to a fatal shooting in north Minneapolis last June.
Charges state that Elliott shot and killed a man on June 12 after approaching him on the street. Prosecutors plan to ask the judge to sentence Elliott to 27 years in prison.
Elliott will be sentenced for the charge of second-degree murder on Feb. 6.
State court records show Elliot was also convicted of aggravated robbery in 2011.

In another case, three men have been charged in a connection with a car chase and shooting in south Minneapolis in late December.
Prosecutors say the initial shooting occurred outside Champion's Bar near Lake Street in the early morning of Dec. 20. Authorities say that shooting was followed by a 25-block car chase.
One man, Darnell Harris, died in the shooting. Another was wounded.
The Hennepin County Attorney's office charged the three defendants with first-degree riot. They're each being held on $300,000 bail.
