Be wary of Packers playoff ticket scams

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Wisconsin Better Business Bureau is warning Packer fans to be wary of scammers selling playoff tickets.

The bureau says sports fans can be easily scammed when buying tickets outside the stadium, on the street or through online auctions, classified ads and bulletin boards.

Wisconsin BBB President Randall Hoth says fans can get burned by purchasing counterfeit tickets or paying in advance for tickets that never arrive.

The BBB recommends checking with its database that includes reputable, secondary market ticket firms. It also recommends looking for the BBB logo on broker's websites and to click on it to ensure it's real.

If using an online auction site, they recommend looking for sellers with a recent and long history of satisfied customers.
