Expert sought for online Minn. encyclopedia

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Have an encyclopedic knowledge Minnesota history?

The state Historical Society is hunting for an editor to fact-check and copy edit entries for an online encyclopedia of the state that's in the works.

The formal custodians of Minnesota's historical record say they need someone to edit between 100 and 200 original entries bound for the MNopedia, which will be beefed up by June.

The Historical Society advertised for bidders, who must come forward by Jan. 23 for the chance to take part in the www.mnopedia.org project. It covers everything from famous citizens to noted landmarks to key events, such as the 1898 Typhoid Epidemic to the 1987 Twins World Series win.
