A state Senate committee heard three bills Thursday that would increase tobacco taxes in Minnesota.
The governor had proposed a 94-cent per cigarette pack hike in his budget. That's one of the bills that was heard. Other proposals would increase the taxes on tobacco by $1.29 and $1.60 per pack, respectively.
We'll discuss the financial impacts and health impacts of increasing cigarette taxes.
