World Baseball Classic mixes up Twins spring training

Tonight in Phoenix, the United States plays Mexico in the first round of the World Baseball Classic. Sixteen teams from around the world are competing in the tournament which is being held for the third time. Japan has won the first two titles.

A dozen players from the Minnesota Twins organization are participating, including catcher Joe Mauer and closer Glenn Perkins who are playing for the United States. First baseman Justin Morneau will play for Canada.
