Vikings play Houston in first preseason game
The Minnesota Vikings will play the Houston Texans at Mall of America Field in the first game of the preseason.
The team announced its preseason schedule Thursday. After they play Houston, the Vikings will be on the road against the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers. The latter match-up will be televised on NBC's Sunday Night Football. For the fourth game, the Vikings return to Minnesota to play against Tennessee Titans. Preseason dates and times will be announced later. The August games launch the Vikings' last season in the Metrodome.
Minnesota Vikings preseason games are listed as follows:
• Preseason Week 1 (Aug. 8-10): vs. Houston
• Preseason Week 2 (Aug. 15-17): at Buffalo
• Preseason Week 3 (Aug. 25): at San Francisco
• Preseason Week 4 (Aug. 29-30): vs. Tennessee
