St. Paul City Council adopts 50-year plan for Mississippi River development

The St. Paul City Council approved the Great River Passage Master Plan on Wednesday. The 300-page document lays out a development plan for the Mississippi River over the next 50 years.
There are 17 miles of Mississippi shoreline within St. Paul city borders. The plan proposes to make the river more accessible to pedestrians, bolster natural areas and add amenities like a learning center at Watergate Marina.
