Edina man missing in Yosemite

EDINA, Minn. (AP) -- Rangers are searching for a missing Edina man who went on a hike in Yosemite National Park.

Authorities say 73-year-old Kenneth Stensby was hiking Vernal Fall solo when he disappeared. Stensby had been staying at the Ahwahnee Hotel and told staff Sunday morning that he was headed out for a hike and expected to be back around noon.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says park officials found Stensby's day pack near the guard rails at the top of the waterfall on the Merced River. Rangers used dogs to search along the Mist Trail corridor Monday.
