A detention hearing has been postponed again for a man accused in what the FBI has called a thwarted terror plot in western Minnesota.
Buford Rogers, 24, will remain in federal custody. Law enforcement authorities arrested Rogers earlier this month, alleging that he was plotting an attack that could have killed several people. Rogers was scheduled for a detention hearing in the federal court Friday in St. Paul.
But Roger's attorney requested additional time to investigate the facts and circumstances relating to the charges facing Rogers and their possible impact on a decision to keep his client in jail or release him, pending trial.
At a detention hearing, a judge listens to evidence about the accused's risk of flight or danger to the community to decide if the accused should be detained or not.
