Sandy Spieler, center, one of the founders and the artistic director of In the Heart of the Beast, leads the theater's annual May Day parade Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Minneapolis. Thousands of people gather to watch the two-hour parade which runs along Bloomington Avenue S. from 25th to 34th streets and ends with a ceremony and celebration in Powderhorn Park. This year marked the 39th year of the May Day parade.
