Boat flip kills 2 at Lac qui Parle Lake
Two people died after their boat overturned on Lac qui Parle Lake, near Montevideo in west central Minnesota.
The Lac qui Parle Sheriff's Office said the accident happened Saturday afternoon near Boyd's Landing. Emergency responders pulled a man, a woman and a girl from the lake.
The man and the girl were taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, while the woman was taken to the Chippewa County Hospital in Montevideo; the woman and the girl were pronounced dead. The man's condition was unknown.
The sheriff's office was withholding the victims' names pending notification of their families.
