Vikings-related development plans take another step

A committee of the Minneapolis City Council on Tuesday approved a step toward development of the land around the new Vikings stadium.

The proposal for the Downtown East acreage includes a large plaza, called the Yard, plus parking ramps and new buildings with retail, residential and office space.

The measure will come to a vote of the full council next week. We look at the plan and find out what happens next.
