• Chalk-A-Lot Festival in Two Harbors: See the chalk artwork of artists from around the state and contribute your own pavement masterpiece.
• Rondo Days wraps up this weekend in St. Paul. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.
• Highland Fest in Highland Park, featuring fireworks tonight and Saturday night.
• Minneapolis Aquatennial launches its huge fireworks display along West River Parkway there's live music leading up to the fireworks, at 10 p.m.
