MN newlywed killed in NH honeymoon crash

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- State police say a St. Paul woman has died in a crash with an apparent drunken driver while honeymooning in New Hampshire.

Authorities say 30-year-old Lea Fonda was a passenger in a car driven by her new husband, Brian Preiss. Relatives say the two married recently and went to the East Coast for their honeymoon.

Police say the driver of the other car involved in the crash drifted over the center line Saturday and struck the couple's car. He fled the scene, but was arrested a short time later.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says Fonda's 30-year-old husband was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries.
