Corcoran boy hit by vehicle is identified

A 2-year-old boy killed after being hit by a vehicle in Corcoran has been identified.

According to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office, Henry Alexander Lucas Gonzalez died of blunt force trauma at Maple Grove Hospital.

The sheriff's office says the boy was in the street in a mobile home park in Corcoran where he lived when he was hit Thursday evening.

The county sheriff's office and Corcoran police are investigating.

Hennepin County sheriff's office spokeswoman Lisa Kiava says there was a language barrier between the family and investigators, who were trying to determine whether a relative had struck the boy, or whether it was someone else.
